Bill Of Rights

An amazing example of hypocrisy happened way back in 1776 when a group of distinguished gentlemen slave owners gathered together and created the constitution and  “The Bill Of Rights”; declaring among other things, that “All men are created equal.”. Women were excluded from the voting process.

However, this coming election campaign, demonstrates the positive changes that have taken place over the years. It took a group of angry marching women, a civil war and several national political movements to give women the right to vote and black people the right to be treated like everyone else with the same rights...

This remarkable metamorphose had gradually taken place over two hundred years and after great sacrifices were made by a number of extraordinary Americans such as, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony, William Lloyd Harrison, Arthur and Lewis Tappan, and scads of others. These remarkable people rallied against the prevailing establishments and moved the country forward to what it is today and because of their efforts and sacrifices we now have a situation whereby a woman and a black person are both considered viable candidates for the presidency of our country.

Considering our amazing history it is clear that each of us must be diligent in defending and preserving this great and wonderful constitution of ours and we can take great pride in our ancestors and what they have created.

We cannot, regardless of political parties, for any reason whatever, allow anyone, or anything to upset or destroy our priceless legacy.
