IRAQ

It is very hard for any so called Christian to imagine condoning torture as a valid weapon in any war, but somehow, with twisted, strange and weird kinds of thinking, as a nation we have done just that. The rational has been that extracting useful information in our struggle with terrorists, by any means whatever, is justified as it saves American lives. However, in fact, this is just simply another of many lies we have been told about the Mid-East. The use of torture has of yet yielded nothing of value for our side. What it has done and quite successfully, is to provide the terrorist with yet another reason to hate us and another reason for a young Arab to become an active terrorist and join their cause. The awful truth is the fact that there are now many more terrorists today than there were before we invaded Iraq. We are not in the process of losing for actually we have already lost. It’s over. We lost! Period. It would seem that considering what this odious practice is doing to our reputation world wide and the fact that it doesn’t work, a normal rational thinker would abandon the practice outright and try something else. For whatever reason our “Decider” just refuses to face this reality... Perhaps a new decider is needed. We cannot blame the press for the constant stream of bad news coming from Iraq. If that were the case just shutting down the presses would be a quick and inexpensive way to end the financial and moral disaster we have sunk into. According to the COB (Congress Office of the Budget) the cost of our miss-guided and immoral Iraq adventure is now approaching 765 billion dollars. A price tag that has brought us nothing but disgrace, despair, loss of several thousand young American lives, the destruction of another country and the complete scorn of most of the world. Now is the time for us to pack up and leave while we still can. It will only be a matter of a few months before the entire population in Iraq will consider us to be their common enemy and will join hands and together begin to attack us. Then we will not be able to gracefully leave. Unfortunately, unlike Vietnam there are no flat roofs for our helicopters to evacuate people from. There are only domes and our personnel will have to flee out into the desert for helicopters to land and pick them up. This will be a pathetic and embarrassing situation and will glaringly illustrate the fact that a group of poor dusty camel riding Arabs made a total mockery out of our multi billion dollar high tech army; and a fitting end to an immoral and stupid policy.
