The stupidity of our invasion of Iraq became even more apparent with the crisis now about Turkey. It seems that the Kurds living in Iraq along the border with Turkey are of the opinion that a part of Turkey belongs to them and should be combined with a section of oil rich Iraq to become a Kurdish state and so have systematically been killing Turkish soldiers along the border.

            Needless to say the Turks are upset about this and have threatened to invade Iraq and wipe out the Kurdish strongholds.  Since America controls Iraq the Turks have demanded that we put a stop to the Kurdish activities. They have made it abundantly clear that if we do not intercede they are definitely going to invade Iraq whether we like it or not.

            As any Korean veteran will tell you the last army we want to confront on a battlefield are the Turks. They are about the fiercest fighters on the planet. The Turkish army receives no pay except that which they can loot from the countryside.

            Our occupation of Iraq causes us to shoulder the problems of the country.  The problem with turkey is only the first of many potential disasters.
