Iran Invasion

Now that sixteen of our top intelligence agencies have emphatically stated that Iran canceled its atomic bomb program back in 2003, one might logically assume that this administration would stop talking about bombing and invading Iran, but oh no, the saber rattlers are still claiming that Iran is a real threat to America and that all options are still on the table.

The United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency in February in 2006 stated flatly that Iran had no atomic bomb program. But the war mongers in this administration are still planning to start a war with Iran in spite of the fact that a war with Iran might well set off WWIII.

Giuliani the front running Republican candidate has and keeps stating that if elected he would bomb Iran. Apparently a war with Iran is a major Republican goal.

Unfortunately they are suffering under the allusion that invading Iran would be like invading Iraq.  However, Iraq was basically defenseless with an incompetent army in total disarray while Iran has12,285,000 troops well trained and armed to the teeth with very modern weapons including long range missiles and any invasion of Iran would result in thousands of casualties.

We can only hope that somewhere down the line a smidgen of common sense might prevail and the idea of another Mid East folly will fall by the wayside.
