    Summer Skies

Summer skies are as a rule awesome.  However, late in the season they take on even more stunning images.

At these times they can become clear brilliant sparkling blue only to change in a matter of moments to a sky cluttered with anvil shaped clouds or a sky streaked with cotton like smears of clouds skittered along the horizons. Or tiny wisps way high overhead.

Then too, they might have huge, billowing, white, clouds changing into shapes limited only by our imaginations.  The many different kinds of blues treat one’s eye to new experiences almost daily.

Then occasionally the sky becomes clouded over and brings to us a hint of the winter that lies just ahead.

Late summer skies bring new sights to us almost on a daily basis adding another good reason for living within the mountain shadows.
