Things we wonder about.

Why is the SPCA property being bought for a "sometime in the future" courthouse?
The piece of property is being sold for $450,000.  We wonder if it actually could be worth more than that to the SPCA if it was developed out. This property is about 1.44 acres.
What about the historic structure on the property? What will happen to it?
How much money in employee time has the purchasing of this property and possible other expenses cost the county?
Who was the decider?  Who said yes we need this piece of property?
Was anyone consulted?
Was the Sheriff  consulted when this idea was first being kicked about?
The residents of Mariposa County, were they asked and listened too?
Is it too late to stop this purchase?
Why does the future courthouse have to go there?

These are all questions Mariposa residents and the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors have to ask themselves as they leave this legacy for their children.

It takes a leader to say, "stop this nonsense!"
