Get ready for the 22nd Annual Coulterville Coyote Howl

Get ready for the 22nd Annual Coulterville Coyote Howl. Over the past 22 years coyote howlers have gathered for an annual competition to see who will be the next to win the cash prize and has their name added to the "Howl of Fame."

The Coulterville Coyote Howl is a family friendly and entertaining outdoor event with fun for everyone. The day begins with a parade down Main Street. Browse through the great selection of craft vendors, have lunch at one of the food booths, enter to win one of our fabulous prizes in our opportunity drawing or just sit and enjoy the music and entertainment. In the evening, join us for the Coyote Howl Dinner Dance.

Coulterville Coyote Howl’s event is a fund-raising event to benefit the Northern Mariposa County History Center. The History Center is a nonprofit organization and is solely supported by membership and donations. The event will raise funds needed to protect and preserve our history.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007. The parade will be down Main Street, and the vendors will be in the Coulterville County Park located just north of the intersection of Hwy. 49 & Hwy. 132.

The event is being presented by a dedicated group of volunteers who have formed the Coyote Howl Planning Committee. Our hope is to educate the public about the history of Northern Mariposa County and Southern Tuolumne County. In partnership with the community, our goal is to raise funds to continue to keep the Northern Mariposa County History Center open to the public and to keep our history alive.
