Mariposa, CA – September 25th, 2007 The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors Proclaims The Week of October 6-13, 2007 as "Habitat for Humanity Awareness Week" to urge everyone in Mariposa County to be aware of the need for affordable housing in Mariposa County and educate the community about the poverty and lack of decent, affordable housing in our county. It's time to find out what Habitat for Humanity is all about and how you can help enrich Mariposa County by volunteering in this very worthy cause. Habitat partners will own their own homes, purchasing them at no profit and financing them with a zero interest mortgage. Events for Habitat Awareness Week Saturday, October 6 th - Mariposa County Home Show (Fairgrounds) 9 AM-3:30PM FREESunday, October 7 th – Methodist Church Lilies of the Field 2 PM donations acceptedWednesday, October 10 th - HFH on-going meeting New Life Fellowship Church, 5089 Cole Road, Bootjack Potluck at 5:30 PM and General Meeting at 6 PMSaturday, October 13 th – Taco Feed Mariposa Lutheran Church (past fairgrounds) Music, Silent Auction 4:30 to 8PM $6.00 per ticket or $20.00 for four tickets.
