In spite of the fact that
within the United States our infrastructure suffers, bridges are falling down and schools need books and many children
need health care, this administration has submitted the largest military budget in history. The military budget
proposed for next year is over 700 billion dollars. They have done this in spite of the discovery of many cases of
outright fraud in the handling of funds by defense contractors and the pentagon itself and neither of the candidates
have objected to this outrageous waste of desperately needed funds here at home. The military industrial complex Eisenhower had warned us about has succeeded beyond its wildest dreams
