Money & Republicans

Have you ever wondered why it is that Republicans are able to raise so much money for their political campaigns?   To understand, one must consider what they do once they get into power.

Once they came into power with Ronald Reagan it only took about twenty years for them to transfer 80% of the wealth of the nation to the 10% who are the wealthiest people in the country.  It is not just a coincidence that these are the very people who contribute millions to the Republican Party.

As soon as they accomplished this they instantly changed the tax laws so that the extreme wealthy and major corporations do not have to pay the same taxes that the rest of us do. Then once they got George Bush into office by whatever scurrilous means they could they set about trying to find a method to keep them in power forever.

They dreamed of an American empire with themselves as the ruling class in the image of the Roman Empire and George Bush imagined himself to be a modern day Julius Caesar, with his army sweeping across the mid-east deserts while Europe trembled. Fortunately Bush lacked any of the skills that made Caesar the leader that he was and Bush’s big sweep into the mid-east became the biggest disaster that America has ever experienced.

The empire dreamers finally began to realize that regardless of how much money they raised or how much they overrode the constitution they could not take over the world and there is no way the American people are going to allow them to remain in power. And so they have gracelessly slunk back into the dank shadows from whence they had emerged.

Gradually the country will have a chance to settle back into the greatness that it once was.
