Halliburton
By Guest Editorial Writer James Heth

A kid in Harlem walks into a supermarket and stuffs a handful of candy in his pocket and on his way out of the store he is stopped by a security guard. The police are called and within minutes he is confined in juvenile hall. Meanwhile down in Washington after Halliburton contributed $409,849, almost all of it exclusively to the Republican National Committee, it receives over 10 billion dollars worth of cost plus contracts without having to bid for them under the Bush/Cheney administration and no one says a thing. The child with thirty cents worth of jellybeans is bewildered and frightened and alone. Senator Waxman heads an investigation into the Halliburton affair but considering the loyalties of the AG it appears nothing will come of the investigation. Few crimes can match the chutzpah of this administration. The Brinks robbery hardly was chump change when compared to the Bush/Cheney activities.
