Rick Tasco and Roger Duncan have been in the Iris business for 23 years.  I recently visited their Superstition Iris Gardens in Catheys Valley.

The field of Iris is breathtaking with all the different vibrant colors.  The individual iris blossoms are just amazing in size and color.  These aren't the kind of Iris I remember from my mother's garden in Kansas.

Superstition Iris Gardens is and has been for many years, an official display garden for the Median Iris Society and the Historic Iris Preservation Society.  Rick has hybridized, registered, and introduced 62 different Iris with the American Iris Society.

The one acre display garden has around 1,200 varieties of Iris.  The garden is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from April 17th until May the 10th.

Mother's Day is the last day the garden will be open.  You can see the Iris and then order your bulbs.  They also have a catalogue that you can use.
