Today we are exposed to a many unpleasant shows on television.  Much of what appears on our screens is not only in bad taste but is outright disgusting. There is one program however that when it comes to bad taste and outright vulgarity surpasses all the others and that is the so-called, “Jerry Springer Show."  This crude obnoxious man in a blue pin striped suit walks about a stage filled with human misfits and train wrecks involved in the worst possible kinds of human failing

Mr. Springer actually holds a sign against his chest with his name scrawled across so as to be certain that we know he is in charge of this odious display of human degradation taking place as his so-called guests on stage admit to committing all kinds of degrading sins and then viciously attack each other in an attempt to gouge out eyes and wreck whatever mayhem on their adversary that they can. Then he has his blue jean clad, so-called, security agents separate the combatants while he leeringly prances about the stage proudly, clutching and waving his stupid sign.

To call his show depraved would be giving it a compliment. It’s worse.

That a television network would allow this insult to common decency on the air is unconscionable and one would hope that most people when confronted with this trash will quickly change the channel. But wait. I just discovered that this show has been on for many years. Baffling!
