Kicking High at the Kick-A-Thon

Ready to Kick

Good Times

Throughout November, Mariposa Martial Arts Academy took part in a national project called the “Thanksgiving Turkey Brigade.” The mission is to make and deliver 100 Thanksgiving dinner baskets to local families who would otherwise do without. Each basket will contain a turkey, rolls, yams, corn, milk, cranberry sauce, potatoes, pies, butter and much more.

To do so, students of Mariposa Martial Arts Academy held a Kick-A Thon on Friday, Nov. 20th.  Students performed an Outstanding 33,482 kicks in one hour. Through their hard work and dedication, Mariposa Martial Academy has so far raised over $3,000!!

On Wednesday, November 25th, students and their families will be preparing packaging and delivering full uncooked Thanksgiving Dinners. If you or someone you know is in need of a Thanksgiving dinner, please contact Angie Bond at 209-742-4501.

“Our goal is two-fold, First, we wish to help our community and the needy families, and just as important, we will provide a firsthand giving experience to our students. “

Mariposa Martial Arts Academy is located at 5081 Jones St., Mariposa. For more information or to make a donation, call 209-742-4501.
