On Saturday evening December 5, 2009 about sixty to seventy Coulterville residents were on hand for the Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

The Coulterville Community Club and Coulterville Fire Brigade provided the residents with bonfire's, Smores' and hot chocolate which was really appreciated as the night time temps were steadily dropping.

Around 7:30 P.M. as the gathered people all counted down from ten to zero, at the count of zero the switch was thrown and the Christmas Tree was lit up with green lights, blue lights and a few red lights along with a star on the top of the tall tree.
