One reported fire in the county yesterday and that fire call came in
during the evening hours from Indian Peak Road where the caller was
concerned about a bon fire.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident was reported
during the morning hours on 49 North near Bear Valley Road where a solo
vehicle crashed.
A loose dog was out running around on Hirsch Road.
During the very early morning hours a burglary was reported on Silver Bar
Road and during the afternoon hours a possible burglary was reported from
Yaqui Gulch Road.
Grand theft and vandalism was reported from Hunters Valley Road.
On 49 North a loose cow was out running around on someone's property.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were observed on
Chowchilla Mountain Road, Peg Leg Road and Guadalupe Creek Road.
During the evening hours shooting was heard on Usona Road.
(Probably just end of the year filling the freezer)
During the very late evening hours a verbal disturbance was reported
from Saint Andrews Road.
And Finally, A Chihuahua was reported missing from Circle Drive.
(Not the missing Chihuahua, but something to watch out for as they
are masters of disguise.)

One fire was reported in the county yesterday and that fire was
reported during
the later morning hours at the Midpines Trailer Park where a structure was
on fire.
No one was injured in this fire.
One accident was reported to the CHP yesterday and that accident took place
during the morning commute hours on the 140 near the Chase Ranch that
involved minor injuries.
Stray cattle were out wandering around on Triangle Road.
An assault and battery on Colorado Road led to someone getting a ride to
the pokey for awhile.
Someone who was trespassing on the 140 near Midpines also was lucky enough
to get a ride to the pokey.
During the later morning hours a suspicious vehicle was observed
on Campbell Way.
During the noon hour suspicious circumstances were observed
on Trish's Moon Lane.
Also, during the evening hours suspicious circumstances were observed
at the Best Western.

On Leonard Road someone was being harassed.
Vandalism was reported on the Mount Ophir Road and on Forest Drive.
On Blackberry Creek Road one neighbor was having issues
with another neighbor.
And Finally, At the Red Cloud Mine Park a dog fight was reported
with
possibly brandishing a weapon according to the caller.
(Must be some Bad Dogs in North County if they have weapons!)

No reported fires in the county yesterday.
The CHP reported three accidents in the county yesterday with the first
accident taking place during the morning commute hours near Staircase Falls
Road and Clouds Rest Road where a solo vehicle struck their own residence
with no resulting injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a Toyota, said the
accelerator stuck. During the late afternoon hours a truck struck a deer on
Triangle Road near 49 South. The third reported accident occurred during the
evening commute on Merced Falls Road near Coronado Road where a vehicle
missed a curve and was on it's side. No reported injuries where involved
with that crash according to the CHP.
The Mariposa Bear was causing some sort of problems on 49 North.
Vandalism was reported on Hornitos Road and on Lehamite Falls Road.
A vehicle was vandalized on Schaffer Road.
On Crystal Aire Drive a dog killed two cats.
Those 'Skateboarders' were at it again, this time on the 140 near the Gold
Coin they were doing something or other.
Someone was being harassed on Circle Drive.
And Finally, During the noon hour a dog was reported in a trap
out on Dogtown Road.
(Must have been a cat from Cat Town that had the dog in a trap!)

For yet another day, no reported accidents or fires in the county as everyone

being very safe.
Out on Smith Station Road a red nose pitbull was reported lost.
(Not just Rudolph has a red nose)
Someone was out on the Harris Cut-Off Road illegally hunting using a bow.
During the late evening hours a prowler was reported on Bullion Street.
A suspicious vehicle was observed on Campbell Way during the morning hours.
Someone on Schilling Road reported a suspicious phone call.
Suspicious circumstances were reported from the Miners Inn Restaurant.
Over on Triangle Road a dog was tangling with a deer.
An Aussie was found on Carleton Road.
(Hard to get to Yosemite on that road.)
And Finally, The caller from Bootjack Tire reported a kitten stuck
in an oil drain.
(Let's hope this kitty is okay as he is in a very slippery
situation.)

and a Queensland Heeler was reported as lost from Carleton Road.
Grand theft of money was reported from the 140 near El Portal.
An easement dispute was taking place on 49 North near Coulterville.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were observed
on Lakeside Drive and earlier in the day at the Miners Inn.
And Finally, On Main Street in Coulterville a sewage leak was reported.
(Possibly a messy situation, better call a plumber.)

One fire was reported in the county yesterday and that fire was
reported as a brush fire on Leonard Road during the morning hours.
One reported accident to the CHP yesterday and that accident occurred on
Hornitos Road at Bear Valley Road during the later morning hours. There were
no reported injuries in that accident according to the CHP.
Someone who was bitten by a dog ended up at John C. Fremont E.R.
Counterfeit currency was reported from Coakley Circle.
At 1:30 in the morning corporal injury to a spouse was reported
from Circle Drive.
And Finally, Yet again, the caller from Piney Creek Road had concerns about the
welfare of someone's cats.

During the later morning hours six cows were out on Bear Valley Road
having a conference on what side of the fence had better grazing.
On Highway 49 North near Coulterville a couple of property owners were
having a dispute over an easement.
The caller from Piney Creek Road had concerns about the
welfare of someone's cats.
Another call came in from Hernandez Drive about a water leak.
(Better call a Plumber instead of the Sheriff)
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were occurring
on Triangle Road.
During the evening hours someone was making threats at Yosemite Liquors.

reported as an
oven fire on Jalapa Way during the morning hours.

One reported traffic accident yesterday to the sheriff department and that
accident took place on Colorado Road near the 140 during the morning hours
where a vehicle was half off of the road with no reported injuries. The CHP
reported an accident during the afternoon hours near the 49 and the 140
where two vehicles crashed into each other, again with no reported injuries.
During the very early morning hours the Mariposa Bear was causing some sort
of problems on Tip Top Road.
A sick cat was on Davis Road.
At 7:00 in the morning Colorado Road was reported as icy, then a few minutes
later another call came in about the above mentioned accident
on Colorado Road.
In Catheys Valley an owner of seven cats relinquished the ownership of them.
During the later morning hours someone called the sheriff over
parking at the Pioneer Market.
The caller from Hernandez Drive reported a water leak.
Loud music was playing on Coakley Circle and Ashworth Road.
And Finally, During the afternoon hours the caller from somewhere on the 140
reported an 'Out of Control Six Year Old!')

Three reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident
taking place on Ernst Road near Holtzel Road during the later morning hours
where a vehicle hit a tree. The second reported accident was on 49 North
near Mariposa during the evening commute hours. The third accident was
reported just before Midnight near the intersection of Crystal Aire Drive
and East Whitlock Road where a vehicle hit an embankment with no reported
injuries.
A sick stray cat was reported on Coakley Circle.
Petty theft was reported from the 140 near Mariposa and Meadow Lane.
Mail was found on Grayling Road.
Someone in Mariposa reported a scam.
On Watt Road some dogs killed a cat.

And Finally, At two in the morning a commercial fire alarm was ringing
on Bullion Street.
(The fire alarm went off at the Courthouse and the sheriff along with Fire
were on scene along with Public Works. There was no fire and no sprinklers
were turned on but a faulty valve was discovered that will have to be
replaced to the tune of $7,000.)

A report was filed on someone who cut down a Christmas Tree
on Lakeside Road.

A request for a snow plow was called in from Foresta Road during
the late morning hours.

Rocks were on the road down on the 140 in the Merced River Canyon and water
was reported on Triangle Road and on 49 South during the late afternoon
hours.
A tree was down on Triangle Road near 49 South during the early evening
hours that had both lanes blocked for awhile.
A dogs versus goats call from somewhere on the 49 resulted in a trip to
Impound where the dogs could dry out.
A possible burglary was reported on Jalapa Way during the evening hours.
And Finally, A tiny dog was walking on 49 South near the Mariposa Coffee
Company during the late morning hours yesterday.
(Not a good idea for a tiny dog to be doing)

Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident
taking place during the later morning hours at the intersection of the 140
and 49 where two vehicles got tangled up with each other. The second
reported accident took place during the afternoon hours on 49 North near
Agua Fria Road where a vehicle was over an embankment and 60-70 feet off of
the road. An ambulance was called to the scene according to the CHP.
Neglected dogs were reported from Darrah Road.
The Mariposa Bear was out on Fournier Road causing some sort of problems.
Possible mail theft was reported from Tip Top Road.
Credit card fraud was reported from Stout Lane.
A fence was vandalized on 49 North near Coulterville.
The caller from Whitmore Drive reported the unauthorized use
of an access card.
Someone who was refusing to leave someplace on the 140 near Midpines was
lucky enough to get a free ride to the county lock-up.
And Finally, During the noon hour on Yosemite Oaks Road the caller reported
a Red Tailed Hawk in the house.

Two reported fires in the county yesterday, with the first fire
reported during the later morning hours on Colorado Road where a structure
was on fire. The second fire was reported from the 132 during the afternoon
commute that ended up being a big burn pile instead of the reported
structure fire.
(Structure Fire in Midpines on Thursday is Stopped in it's Tracks by the
Mariposa County Fire Department and CalFire
With 100 gallons of water the Mariposa County Fire Department, Company 21 Midpines and CalFire extinguished a attic fire in a 500
square foot rental home that was 500 feet down a steep and icy driveway
off of Colorado Road today.
Preliminary cause was a faulty wood stove vent that caused the flames to
spread to the attic and vent through the roof. There were no civilian or
firefighter injuries and the Structure loss was about 20 percent.
Members from Mormon Bar, Midpines, Bootjack, Catheys Valley and MPUD
assisted with salvage and overhaul.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday.
Out on Watt Road it was a dog versus a dog as they were disagreeing
about something or other.
At two in the morning suspicious circumstances were observed
on Sherlock Road.
(Anything at two in the morning is suspicious!)
During the morning hours an unknown person was in the yard of a
residence on Boyer Road.
(Coincidence?)
Broken water pipes were reported from Terrace View Lane.
A chain saw was reported stolen from Sierra Pines Drive.
During the noon hour a shoplifter was in custody at the Stage Stop.
And Finally, A person who was refusing to leave a residence on Colorado Road
was lucky enough to have a deputy drive them to the County Jail.

Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident
involving two vehicles on Hornitos Road during the afternoon hours. The
second accident was also during the afternoon hours and took place on
Greeley Hill Road where a vehicle was in the ditch.
A couple of broken water pipes were reported during the morning hours. The
first call was from the park in Hornitos and the second call was from Social
Services in Mariposa.
During the afternoon hours a call came in from the Miners Inn about
a roof falling in.
A call about harassment came in from Circle Drive.
Property was found on Merced Falls Road and a wallet was found in Mariposa.
(Coincidence?)
On Windy Hollow Road a couple of neighbors were involved in a dispute.
Vandalism was reported from the Schilling Ranch.
A runaway juvenile was reported from the high school in Mariposa.
A barking dog during the evening hours on Granite Springs Road was driving
the neighbors over the edge.
And Finally, A student was using Marijuana on Old Highway North
Road.

One reported fire/smoke call in the county yesterday and that call
came in from East Westfall Road during the noon hour where the caller
reported smelling smoke.
Numerous accidents were reported in the county yesterday. The first accident
was on the 140 during the later morning hours where a vehicle overturned
near the Mount Bullion Cut-Off Road with no reported injuries. Just before
noon a accident was reported on 49 South near Hirsch Road where a vehicle
was on it's roof with no reported injuries, while an hour later another
accident was reported on that same road near the intersection of Wass Road
also with no reported injuries. During the afternoon hours a accident was
reported on the Greeley Hill Road and during the evening hours a few
vehicles were reported stuck on Foran Road. The CHP reported an accident
near the intersection of Joe Howard Road and Fournier Road during the
afternoon hours with no reported injuries. Also the CHP reported a late
morning accident on Usona Road near 49 South with no reported injuries.
Quite a few calls about icy roads yesterday.
On Gusano Way a couple of neighbors were having s dispute over property
lines.

the pokey for awhile.

No reported fires in the county yesterday.
Multiple accidents in the county yesterday as the weather had vehicles all
over the county sliding around the roads.
During the morning commute hours at Triangle and Darrah Roads vehicles were
sliding off of the road. An accident was reported on Tip Top Road. Vehicles
were sliding on the 140 around Mount Bullion Cut-Off Road. The 140 was
closed for awhile from Trower Road to the Rock Shop during the late morning
hours. On 49 North near Whitlock Road it was a truck versus a truck. During
the noon hour a vehicle was over the embankment on Triangle Road. On Smith
Station Road a tree was on the road. Also during the noon hour a couple of
vehicles were off the road at Darrah and Triangle and numerous vehicles were
stuck on Darrah Road. During the afternoon hours a vehicle was stuck on
Dexter Road. Vehicles were stuck on Chowchilla Mountain Road. On the 140
near Bull Creek a vehicle was stuck, Agua Fria Road was partially blocked.
On Greeley Hill Road a powerline and a tree were tangled up. A vehicle was
off the road on 49 North near Mariposa. An accident was reported during the
late evening hours on 49 South near Usona Road.
A caller from Darrah Road had concerns about the welfare of some animals.
From Piney Creek Road a caller had some questions.
On Ponderosa Way it was an emergency as a dog needed a pill.
Malicious mischief was reported from Coakley Circle.
Someone who was shot by a BB Gun ended up at John C. Fremont Hospital.
On Sierra Vista Drive the caller had a complaint about a barking dog.
(Probably was saying "Hey it's cold out here!")
And Finally, From Buckeye Road the caller reported a 'Horrible
Odor'
in the house.

A black puppy was out on Indian Peak Road.
Grand theft was reported from Old Highway Road.
A couple of neighbors on Silver Lane were causing a disturbance.
Dead animals were reported from Hernandez Road.
Someone found some property at the Christmas Tree Lot in Mariposa.

And Finally, A dead cat on Farfalla Circle was sent to Impound.

One fire was reported in the county yesterday and that fire was
reported as a vegetation fire on Burney Drive during the afternoon hours.
One accident was reported in the county yesterday and that accident took
place on Jackson Road near Fish Camp during the evening hours that
also involved property damage.
Someone lost their black dog on Country Lane.
Out on Ashworth Road at six in the morning someone was playing LOUD
music.

A shoplifter was in custody on Coakley Circle during the afternoon hours.
The caller from Trabucco Road had some concerns about a child.
And Finally, The caller from Heritage Lane reported a lost 'Aussie.'

about a 'Burning Smell' from Coyote Court during the evening hours.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident took place
on East Whitlock Road during the morning hours.
( It was Icy in some areas yesterday morning)
During the morning hours someone was target practicing on Lakeview Drive.
A burglary was reported on Standard Mill Road and from Tip Top Road.
Someone was being harassed on Whitmore Drive.
On Forest Drive someone had some wood stolen.
A tent was found on McMahon Road.

A landlord and a tenant were having problems on the 140 near Midpines.
And Finally, The caller from Crown Lead Road reported having problems
with goats.

One fire was reported in the county yesterday and that fire was
reported
as a structure fire burning during the later morning hours on
Highway 49 near Mariposa.
One accident was reported in the county yesterday and that accident took
place during the morning commute hours on Converse Road near the
intersection of Greeley Hill Road. The CHP reported minor injuries were
involved with this accident and county roads were called out to sand the
road.
A loose horse was running around Buckeye Road.
A locked gate was reported on Buffalo Gulch Road.

A deputy was called out to Ponds Way to check on a Truant.
During the afternoon hours petty theft was reported from Coakley Circle.
Someone was being harassed on Watt Road and a few minutes later a call about
suspicious circumstances came in from the same road.
(Very suspicious)
Out on Daffodil Road a couple of neighbors were not quite seeing eye to eye.
(Also becoming a popular road in the Sheriff Report)
Must have been someone's birthday on Hospital Road as fireworks were
reported being lit off during the late afternoon hours.
And Finally, Those 'Juveniles' were at it again. This time someone was
smoking at the library in Mariposa.

One reported fire/smoke call
in the county yesterday and that call came in during the afternoon hours
from the La Grange area where the caller reported seeing smoke.
Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident
occurring near the McSwain Tollgate during the afternoon hours. The second
reported accident was on the 41 near Fish Camp during the evening hours
where someone hit a deer with no reported injuries to the vehicle's
occupants according to the CHP.
Two loose dogs were out running around Dogtown Road.
(Not unusual, it is not named Dogtown Road for no reason.)
During the noon hour a suspicious vehicle was noticed on Maravilla Drive.
A disoriented subject was out on Indian Peak Road during the
early evening hours.
Also during the evening hours a civil dispute was reported
on Buffalo Gulch Road.
(Related to yesterday's report about an easement dispute on that road?)
And Finally, Someone shot a dog on Rainbow View Road.
(Really? In Lushmeadows with houses all around?)

A bear was hit on the 140 near Grosjean Road during the
very early morning hours.
(Not the Mariposa Bear, the Mariposa Bear is very smart!)
The caller from Buffalo Gulch Road had questions regarding an easement road.
(Easements can cause lots of problems. Know the law before buying or
renting.)
During the noon hour a verbal dispute was taking place on Greeley Hill Road.
On Daffodil Drive a couple of neighbors were also having a dispute.
During the early evening hours a possible burglary was
reported on Gold Leaf Drive.
Someone trapped a 'Wild 'animal on Chapulin Way.
And Finally, A resident on Ashworth Road reported hearing a 'Bazooka.'
