First Wildflowers of Spring‏ By Linda Gast

Lupine next to Poison Oak just coming out

I went out looking for wildflowers this week. I know it is early, but when the sun comes out I can't contain myself.
The flowers I found were on Old Highway at lower elevations. There were lots of Yellow Fiddleneck along the road, but most of the others were just beginning to show. If the sun comes out for a few days I am sure in a week or two they will be in full bloom.
