Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident
occurring
during the noon hour on Indian Peak Road while the second accident was
reported during the afternoon hours on Worman Road where a
motorcycle was down on the ground.
Aggressive dogs were on Main Street in Coulterville.

During the early evening hours a missing person was
reported from Piney Creek Road.
And Finally, Loose bulls were out on Merced Falls Road.

One possible fire was reported in the county yesterday as a possible
chimney fire was reported from Bay Tree Lane during the later morning hours.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday except a hit and run was
reported to the CHP during the evening hours from Highway 49 and Jones
Street.
Rocks were falling onto the roads yesterday as over 1.5" of rain fell over
some locations of the county in twenty four hours. On 49 South, the 140 in
the Merced River Canyon and in the Midpines area rocks were on the road. In
some locations the road was blocked until CalTrans could scrape the rocks
and mud away.
A Yellow colored Labrador Retriever that was found on 49 North near
Mariposa was sent to Impound.
An hour later a call came in from 49 North near Mariposa about a
missing White colored Labrador Retriever.

During the early afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were
observed on Buckeye Road.
Someone posted an offensive poster on Coakley Circle.

A fence was vandalized on the 140 in the Catheys Valley area and a vehicle
was vandalized on Broadway Street in Coulterville.
And Finally, A sick skunk was on Cole Road.

county yesterday and that fire was reported on Silva Road during the later
morning hours.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident took place
out on Bear Valley Road during the evening hours.
A goat was out running around Foran Road and eating everything in site.
During the 3:00 A.M. hour someone was reported trespassing
on Italian Creek Road.
Possible threats were received at the high school in Mariposa.
Threats were received at Spring Hill High School.

Vandalism was reported from Dogtown Road.
A person was reported missing from Dogtown Road.
During the evening hours suspicious circumstances were
occurring on Ben Hur Road.
During the day rocks were reported on the road in the Merced
River Canyon and
on 49 North near Coulterville.
And Finally, On Burl Road an owner of seven puppies released them
to the county.

Doe Run Road and the second call was from Snyder Ridge Road
about a possible scam.

Over on Penon Blanco Road a neighbor was threatening another neighbor and
over on Meadow Lane a couple of neighbors were not quite seeing eye to eye.
During the evening hours someone was making threats on Daffodil Drive.

Hur Road and then over on 49 South at the William Sell Bridge a suspicious

came in during the later morning hours from Highway 49 near Mariposa where
the caller reported seeing smoke.
One accident in the county yesterday and according to the CHP that accident
took place during the evening hours on the 140 near the Merced County line
that involved a couple of vehicles with no reported injuries.
A domestic dispute during the 2:00 A.M. hour resulted in an individual
getting a free ride to the county lock-up for a few hours.
A resident on Ernst Road reported a scam.
A child was found on Darrah Road.
(Not very safe to let a child wander around in the country.)
The caller from Bondurant Mine Road reported harassment.
Unauthorized use of a credit card was reported from the Yosemite Bug.

Theft of money was reported from Cole Road.
Squatters were reported from Colorado Road.
On Highway 132 near Coulterville a petty theft report was taken.
On North Hoover Way someone was bitten by a dog.
During the afternoon hours a assault and battery was reported from
Old Highway North Road and then a few minutes later a request for an
ambulance came in from that same road.
Also a assault and battery report was filed from Granite Springs Drive.
And Finally, A call came in about thirty barking dogs on Indian Peak Road.

taking place during the noon hour on Highway 49 North near Smith Road where
a vehicle overturned with no resulting injuries according to the CHP.
The second reported accident took place on Jones Street near Highway 49
during the afternoon hours with minor reported injuries according to the
CHP. The third reported accident also occurred during the afternoon hours
and was on Indian Peak Road near Highway 49 South with no resulting injuries
according to the CHP. The Sheriff Department reported an accident on Silver
Bar Road during the afternoon hours with property damage.
A Chocolate Labrador Retriever was found on Broncho Hollow Road.
During the 2:00 A.M. hour a caller from Circle Drive reported
a disturbing noise.
A burglary was reported from the Midpines Store.
During the evening hours the caller from Ben Hur Road reported hearing
fireworks or explosions.
And Finally, During the late morning hours a vehicle was on fire in the

during the early evening hours on Crown Lead Road where a commercial
structure was
reported to be burning.
A few hours later another call was received from that same road
about petty theft.

afternoon hours where according to the scanner a apartment between 6th
Street and 7th Street in Mariposa had a fire that was put out in short
order.
One reported accident in the county yesterday as the CHP reported an
accident on Old Highway North at 10th Street during the later morning hours
that resulted in no injuries.
A stray cat was on 11th Street.
(We do not think this was a band member)
During the noon hour vandalism was reported on Harris Road.
A wallet was found on Trabucco Street.
During the afternoon hours an attempted burglary was reported
from Saint Andrews Road.

Silver Doctor Court about excessive smoke during the afternoon hours.
A cat was missing from Lake Hill Road.
At 7:18 during the morning commute hours a slide was reported on the 140
about a half mile East of the temporary bridges. During the 9:00 A.M. hour
it was mentioned that they were hoping to have both lanes open by around
1:00 P.M.
Fuel was reported stolen from Public Works.
A resident of Idle Wheels Trailer Park reported that someone
was shooting unsafely.
Grand theft was reported from the Government Center.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were
observed on Paraiso Street.
On Ponds Way a couple of neighbors were failing to just get along and
almost two hours later another call comes in from Ponds Way
about someone threatening someone.

report came in during the early afternoon hours reporting a possible
structure fire at the Dudley Ranch in the Coulterville area.
One accident was reported in the county yesterday and that accident took
place during the afternoon hours on Darrah Road.
A dog was found on Indian Peak Road.
During the midnight hour a man was reported to be in the
Merced River near El Portal.
A German Shepherd that was contained on Wildwood Drive was sent to Impound
and then an hour later a call comes in to dispatch about a missing German
Shepherd.
(Coincidence? And we think the calls were about a dog as Impound was
involved not the county jail.)
During the morning hours someone was trespassing on Bullion Street and then
during the afternoon hours someone was trespassing on River Haven Road.
During the afternoon hours fraud was committed on 10th Street then a
few hours later a report came in about someone finding some sort of property
on 10th Street.

On the equestrian trail near La Grange some jerk was riding a QUAD.
Dirtbikes were out riding around on Dogtown Road.
(The dirtbikers may have mistook a section of that road for a trail
as it is easy to do.)
A burglary was reported from the Lake McClure Spillway.
Someone on Colorado Road reported being harassed.
A pipe was reported broken on Smith Road.

call about someone Driving under the Influence during the afternoon hours on

taking place during the early afternoon hours on the 140 near Bull Creek
Road that involved a solo vehicle with no reported injuries. The second
reported accident also with no reported injuries took place on Hirsch Road
near Creekview Road during the afternoon hours where a vehicle was reported
off of the roadway.
The caller from Hilltop Drive reported a scam.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were observed on Jessie
Street and then later on over on Moss Landing Road and then during the
evening hours on Old Highway South Road near Mariposa.

A caller requested the sheriff perform a check on the welfare

during the afternoon hours on 49 North near Coulterville where a motorcycle was reported to be

A loose white colored donkey was out running around Ganns Corral Road.
Quite a few calls from Ponds Way yesterday beginning with a call during the
noon hour about an attempted burglary. A few minutes later another call
comes in about loose animals running around. Then three hours later another
call comes in to the Sheriff Department again about loose animals and then a
few minutes later another call comes in about suspicious circumstances
taking place.

During the very early morning hours a domestic dispute on Pautzke Court had
someone going to cool off in lock-up for awhile.
A few minutes later a call came in from Creel Road about a prowler that also
ended up in someone going away for awhile.

Someone was trespassing on Old Toll Road during the afternoon hours.
On 10th Street in Mariposa someone was making false statements.
During the evening hours a petty theft in progress call came in from Watt
Road.

Super Bowl as only three calls came in during the televised hours of the
game with the last call about shooting in the area from Clouds Rest, which
might have been a happy fan celebrating or someone who lost a bet.

During the afternoon hours someone was making threats on Saint Andrews Road
and then two hours later another call about threats from the same road came

Highway 49 South at the Fairgrounds with no reported injuries.
A possibly rabid dog was picked up on Guadalupe Creek Road and
sent to Impound.
During the noon hour suspicious circumstances were reported at the
Senior Center in Mariposa.
Someone reported being harassed on the 140 in Midpines.
Petty theft was reported from Pioneer Market.
A suspicious person was on East Whitlock Road during the late afternoon
hours and a suspicious vehicle was observed on Crown Lead Road during
the early evening hours.

a possible burglary in progress.

vehicle hit a deer with no resulting injuries except for the vehicle that
had to be towed.

observed on Watt Road.

including Driving Without a License, Under the Influence of a Controlled
Substance, Battery with Serious Bodily Injury and Vandalism.

No reported accidents or fires in Mariposa County yesterday.
The hounds were out chasing donkeys on the 140 near Catheys Valley
yesterday during the noon hour.
The caller from Fiske Road reported an opened side window
during the morning hours.
A couple of neighbors were having problems on Saint Andrews Road.
A burglary was reported on Gavilan Road and vandalism was reported
on the 140 near Mariposa.
During the later morning hours a suspicious vehicle was noticed
on Granite Dome Road.
During the evening hours suspicious circumstances were observed on Old
Highway South Road near Mariposa.
A gun was reported stolen from Jalapa Way.
A injured black cat was on 8th Street.
During the evening hours a possible prowler was reported on Watt Road.
And Finally, A child pulled a fire alarm on Greeley Hill Road.

One reported fire in the county yesterday and that fire was reported
as chimney/structure fire on Harris Cut-Off Road during the early evening
hours.
One accident was reported in the county yesterday and that accident took
place during the noon hour near the intersection of Jessie Street and
Coakley Street with no reported injuries according to the CHP.
A resident on Buckingham Mountain Road reported that someone stole a
cell phone and also used it.
Check fraud was reported from the 140 in Catheys Valley.
Vandalism was reported in Lushmeadows and on Darrah Road.
Out on Hunters Point someone was trespassing and committing vandalism.
The caller from Catheys Valley had questions about a property line.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were
observed on Coronado Drive.
Also during the afternoon hours someone was trespassing on
Guadalupe Creek Road and on Old Highway Road near Mariposa.
During the early evening hours a silver colored bicycle was found on 7th
Street.
And Finally, A large Grey Tabby was found on 7th Street in Mariposa.
