Contests Added to
Popular Egg Hunt
This year, the Annual Coulterville Easter Egg Hunt will be more fun than ever! Scheduled for Easter Sunday at 11 am in the county park (Broadway and Hwy 49), a variety of contests are being planned in addition to the ever-popular Egg Hunt.
Between 11 and 11:30 am, the younger children will be play a game of Ping Pong Toss with age appropriate prizes. Kids 6 and over will participate in an Egg Relay race. The eggs will be hard boiled so no one’s Easter outfit is ruined.
The actual “hunt” will take place at 11:30 am. There will be plenty of colorful plastic eggs stuffed with candy to fill the incredible variety of baskets the kids bring with them. Most of the eggs are filled with candy, but other treasures will be discovered by the avid hunters, including coupons donated by local merchants and even some redeemable for “green stuff”. There will be three age group areas; each will have some of these special eggs.
Potato Sack Races will follow the Hunt, topped off with a “Cake Walk” at noon that will wind up the morning’s activities. Lucky winners of that event will take home beautifully decorated cakes to share with their families.
The entire day is sponsored by the Coulterville Community Club. There is no charge for any of the activities. All children 12 and under are welcome to participate. Call 878-3750 for additional information.
