Moonset over Bootjack,California

Getting up early in Mariposa County with coffee in hand
while sitting outside watching the moonset over Bootjack,
suddenly the normally white to yellow colored moon turned
red as the rising sun started to shine on it !

Is there a better time of day than the early morning hours as the sun is just starting to rise over the Sierra - Nevada mountain range ?
The quiet time of day when leaves slowly drifting from the trees can startle you out of your thoughts.
The birds are just waking up and stretching their wings and vocal cords for the coming day.
Far away sometimes the mooing of cows can be heard, while nearer a rabbit hops around without
seeing you.
Mornings in the mountains are a treat not to be
missed !!

Okay, another busy,busy weekend is here !

We also have just gorgeous springtime weather and wildflowers all over the counties !

The 140 into Yosemite is still closed, but we have so much else to do !!
