Springtime Clouds Over Mariposa County

Saturday morning of the Memorial Day Weekend
brings us clouds accompanied by a low of 36 degrees
at 3317 feet of elevation, making the campers
snuggle a little deeper in their sleeping bags !

Brrrr, Cold this morning !!
Might have to turn the wood stove back on !!

NOAA has no rain in the forecast, but from the looks of the bottoms of the clouds in the area it seems like a good bet Yosemite may see some showers.

Here again is the Goldrushcam Special Weekend Out and About section:

One new item not listed in the section is Coarsegold is also having a Peddlers Fair this weekend. So if you are in the Oakhurst area, besides the Oakhurst Peddlers Fair drive the extra six miles over to Coarsegold for their fair !!

Once again Cal Trans says the slide on the 140 is too unstable to let traffic by as the mountain continues to move.
Going from Mariposa to Coulterville and up through Greeley Hill is a very beautiful and scenic way to get to Yosemite on the 120. Also when arriving at the intersection of J132 and the 120 take a left to explore Groveland for a few hours.

Taking the highway from Mariposa over to Oakhurst is a great way to enter the south end of Yosemite to visit the Wawona area and the big trees, and we mean BIG !
In fact spend one day in the South Grove come back and then the next day visit the valley via the 120.
A great way to spend a holiday weekend.
