Ferguson Dump in Mariposa County

Randy B sends in this photo from the Ferguson Dump area
of Mariposa County. Looking North into a blue sky with
wisps of white clouds other ridge peaks can be seen.
The Merced River (About 2,000 feet down)
is located between this ridge
and the next ridge in the photo.

Randy sure gets around the back roads of Mariposa County !

We are constantly reaching for old maps as Randy sends in photos to the Goldrushcam.

This photo of the Ferguson Dump area is named that for what reason we do not know. Yet!
Mine Tailings ? Seems too high up for that.
Even MariposaResearch.net has no info on it.

Its a mystery about the dump. Another mystery is I hear mention of a Sweetwater Cemetary. I have not run across it.. anyone?

No Randy, I have not heard of it either.
But I will ask around and find out.
Now I have two things to do this week ;)
