things can be found if we just slow
down and look around !

Off of the front page of the Goldrushcam / Sierra Sun Times:

A sales tax increase in Tuolumne County goes down in defeat. The money from the measure was supposed to hire more fire and police officers.
Proponents said the county wastes enough money.

Sound familiar ?

In Merced County Measure A went down to defeat.The money from the measure was supposed to go to transportation projects.

And a good story about a local spelling bee champion from Oakhurst who placed 25th in Washington, D.C.
