We came across this rig on one of the forest service roads a couple of days ago. The spinning disc on the front takes out everything in it's path as it mows down the burnable fuel that could lead to big fires. In it's wake is a tangle of Manzanita and small trees tore to pieces to eventually decay back into the soil. In the photo what you see in the foreground is what this machine leaves as it passes by. |
