Dredge Tailings Near Snelling, California

On J16 (Merced Falls Rd.) East of Snelling, California
miles of dredge tailings line both sides of the road.
What came out the back end of the dredge was cobbles
of all different sizes and shapes with occasional
pieces of quartz with gold slipping by and just waiting
to be found today !

Here is a closer photo of the cobbles that remain on the ground after the dredge went by and left miles of these rocks for future generations to clean up.
