The Top Of Nevada Fall In Yosemite National Park

From the top of Nevada Fall in Yosemite National Park
looking west back toward Yosemite Valley.
Smooth granite up here makes for many fine resting places
for the hikers who venture up here and to points beyond.

Late post today.
I took over for Dick H. last night at the 'Find Gold In Mariposa' Wednesday night event. Big shoes I was filling as Dick is the best traffic director, promoter, sign man around. I was tired when I finally went home and slept very soundly. Too soundly in fact as I woke up late to get the Goldrushcam / Sierra Sun Times ready for the day !

Off of the front page:
Clovis School District tested 440 students for drugs costing the district over $33,000.00.
How many students did this wise investment capture?
11.
So after embarrassing over 400 students, spending tax dollars very foolishly they end up with eleven kids.
How about testing the teachers and all administrative staff right to the top. Would be very interesting the results of that testing !!
Oh yes, teachers have rights as they belong to a union that protects them, kids have nothing.

Yep... don't cry for teachers.. The have been getting a free ride for decades. Schools, education, teachers are all nice political tools. People fall for it each election. Truth be known schools often have a hard time spending all the money. And, most importantly more money does not equate to a better education.

I recall reading a study posted in the Wall street Journal about a Texas school district which they tested. They gave it all the money it requested. After many years the hhad nice new buildings.. more staff.. administration got paid much more.. and the avg grades did not improve. hmmm

But hey... if you don't vote to increase your taxes, or for this politician because he will be giving even more toward education.. you would be a very very bad person.. Aren't you for education? yeah right..

Want to really get frustrated.. try to fire a bad teacher or other union member...
