Another Labor Day Weekend and the County Fair in Mariposa. Fun times are in store for this weekend starting with the fair tonight and ending Monday evening.

A big marijuana bust took place a few days ago in Mariposa County.

August moved on yesterday leaving us at our elevation under 90 degrees again.
We topped out yesterday at 88.80 degrees.
That gave us 23 days of 80+ degree weather for August.
We only had 7, 90+ degree days for August along with 1 day in the 70's.
Look for a full weather report for the month of August from the Sierra Sun Times when NOAA releases their stats in a few days for the Fresno / Bakersfield areas.

Good News:
According to CalTrans the 140 is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
With timed lights.
Still limited to vehicles no longer than 28 feet.

Now drive down there and marvel at the stoplights in Mariposa County ! |
