Yes, baby deer are dear to our hearts as we watch them
learn to walk on their spindly legs, jump straight up like
jack in the boxes until they learn to go forward as they
jump, stray farther and farther from their mothers as
they explore the world and finally their spots disappear
as they get another coat of fur for their first winter.
