Mounted Bass At The 2006 Mariposa County Fair

How many ribbons can be won at a county fair ?
Just ask Lonnie Richards, as this fabulous mounted
Bass garnered the most ribbons, everything from Best In
Show to Peoples Choice.
A fantastic display of different art forms were on
display from local residents this year.
Judging must be a very hard job when there are so many
wonderful creations to choose from.
The Sierra Sun Times / Goldrushcam Crew tip our hats
to the 2006 Mariposa County Fair judges.

Here is a photo of Les Marsden leading the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra on the last night of the Mariposa County Fair.

Mariposa Symphony Orchestra At The Mariposa County Fair 2006

This is another group of people who give up their time so we can enjoy their music.

The Sierra Sun Times has a page just for the symphony, accessible from the Mariposa Out and About Section !

Here is a quick link to it:

Keith Sauer has sent more photos of the high country in Yosemite, and we mean high !
He is on top of some mountain that we will look up before we publish the photo, Must be 12,000 feet in elevation or higher.
Keep an eye out for these photos :-)
