With gunfire being heard here and there, these deer and others like them need some help from above to protect them from poachers who feel they are above the law. |

Another great trip out to the Diltz Mine yesterday for the members of the Mariposa Gem and Mineral Club. Milky Quartz and Quartz Crystals and possibly  some gold was collected from the area.
After exploring and poking around inside the mine, a BBQ was setup and Gary cooked some fine cheeseburgers for us as we sat around and talked about the history of gold in the area.
Is there still gold to be found ?
Oh yes, there is !
It just requires a little more work than the days of finding the placer gold. |
