A Mariposa Sunset

Last night was another one of those special sunsets
in Mariposa County as wispy clouds swirled in
the evening sky, gently changing shapes as if guided
by an artists brush.

When you shoot in Raw mode on your digital camera the scene always has to be saturated in Photoshop as the camera adds nothing to the photo as it does when you shoot a photo in .jpg format.
The colors in this photo came out so gorgeous in the Raw mode that very little color saturation was added to the photo to make it appear more like the scene was. It was what you see it what you get :-)

We are thinking of making our photos bigger for the Goldrushcam. Right now we keep the photo at no bigger than 800 X 600 and about 85 K for the people on dial up and with smaller monitors.
Yes not everyone has their screen set for larger than 800 X 600 !

We have just ran a report that lists 21% of our viewers on dial up and 13% with a screen resolution of 800 X 600.

So we want to know what you think.
Send us an email on what you would like, bigger photos at higher resolution or keep everything the way it is now.
