A Helicopter Dumping A Load Of Water On A Fire In Mariposa County

On a lazy late September Friday afternoon, the air was suddenly
filled with airplanes and helicopters as a fire erupted over on
Sherrod Road outside of Bootjack. This photo taken from up
in Lush Meadows shows a CDF helicopter dumping water
onto the fire. After a number of water dumps and with hand
crews on the ground the fire was quickly extinguished.
A big tip of the hat to all the firefighters who protect us
twenty four hours a day !
