This was the scene three years ago today in the Lush Meadows area
of Mariposa County as a wintry blast of cold air came early that year.
Today we expect some rain but the snow level will be around 8,000 feet.

We learned two things that day. (1) When you stop hearing the rain at night, that does not mean nothing is happening outside ! (2) The whole world is not snowed in when Lush Meadows gets snow, as a UPS driver taught us as he rolled in our driveway in the afternoon and said just a few hundered feet lower in elevation their was no snow !
