Highway 140 is known as a Blue Star Memorial Highway.
A tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the
United States Of America.
The sign in the foreground was sponsored by the Catheys Valley
Garden Club, in cooperation with California Garden Clubs, Inc
and the Mariposa County Parks and Recreation Dept.

As President Bush presents his talk tonight about a "surge" in troops over in Iraq,
This Plaque at the County Park in Catheys Valley seemed very appropriate.
