Green California Hills

" Green Hills - Snowy Peak "
Looking North from the top of the Briceburg Grade, a
snow capped peak stands out from the green chaparral
that grows on a base of greenstone, shale and occasional
limestone outcroppings. Bear Creek is running through the
middle of the photo picking up gold here and there from the
side gulches and depositing the shiny nuggets into the Merced River!
