Merced River,Mariposa Photos,Mariposa 2004

The Merced River south of the Briceburg Bridge.
This is where the Mariposa Gem and Mineral Club will be gold panning today.
This photo is from early June when the water level was higher and running faster,
now with less snow melt in Yosemite the river is more accessible.
With a little luck, if I find a sizeable nugget I will post it for Sunday's photo.
