This is one of them. What did it hold?
Water? Wine? Gold Nuggets going to San Francisco?
Is the steel frame original or added later ?
And why is that bunny on top?

Author Message Rochelle Username: Rochelle Registered: 7-2006 Posted on Thursday, May 03, 2007 - 9:18 am:    You will notice that there is a profile cutout of a fish (rainbow trout, I think) on the front of the barrel, and it it is fitted with wheels and a towbar. I believe it was used to transport fish and bunnies to the high country from the hatcheries and rabbit warrens where they had an excess.
