Shay Locomotive In El Portal, California

' Hetch Hetchy Train '
This Shay Locomotive in El Portal was actually used in the building of the
Hetch Hetchy Dam. When the dam was completed all the track was pulled from the ground and the locomotives ended up in different places.
El Portal has a Big Celebration today of the first train arrival in El Portal.
