' Groveland Chili Cook-Off! '

Bronco Billy's Chili was one of the many entries entered in Groveland, California's 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off along with their 19th Annual
49er Festival yesterday! Bronco Billy also known as Bill Mitchell (On the
right in the photo, the other happy fellow was a competitor with his own chili), writes the Chef's Corner every week for the Sierra Sun Times, so we have
no bias putting his photo in for today's edition!
Also representing Mariposa County was the Jeffrey Hotel with Peter
and Cherylann along with others who were hard at work slicing and dicing
when we were by in the morning hours.
Did Bronco Billy or the Hotel Jeffrey bring home a trophy?

They ran out of chili 1.5 hours before the judging ended and there was not enough for the judges to taste or for the people to taste. He said many people were coming back for multiple samples and that contributed to the running out of chili! He said he had a very good time at the festival and maybe will return next year! The Jeffrey Hotel won 3rd place for Peoples Choice Way to go Peter and Cherlyann. A big tip of the hat to ya!
