'Gettin' Stomped at Murphys!'
The annual Murphys Grape Stomp was held under gorgeous skies on
Saturday as the grape stompers stomped and the cleaners cleaned!
The cleaners job is to keep the tube that comes out of the bottom of the
half barrel, clean of grape residue so the grape juice flows into the bucket.
The team with the most pounds of grape juice after three minutes
qualifies for another round until the finals in the afternoon hours.
Also the street fair attracted several thousand people from Fresno to Sacramento to take a fall ride up or down Highway 49 to historic
Murphys to sample wine, listen to music, sample foods, sample
some more wine, purchase hand crafted items
and have a great time!
