Heavy Snow! <BR>Heavy wet snow fell over the weekend as the temps stayed neared the freezing level. Tree branches were stressed to the limit and many of them failed, keeping P.G.& E. workers scrambling from area to area as they tried to restore power before the Super Bowl. Highway 41 was closed as the plows in Yosemite could not keep up with the snow. Highway 140 though was open as it is considered the 'All Weather Highway' into Yosemite as it is at a lower elevation.
