Bear Valley in the Old Days! <BR>Bear Valley in the 1850's had more residents then than today, as miners from all over the world converged on the foothills of California. Along with the miners are the merchants who set up shops like the ones you see in the above photo as they struck gold a different way, by supplying the miners with much needed supplies.
