Poppies! <BR>Not like the one's that put Dorothy to sleep, grow abundantly in Mariposa County. In the Merced River Canyon on Highway 140 into Yosemite National Park there are so many growing that is looks like orange carpets on the sides of the canyons! <BR>Question of the day: Why did the poppies in the Wizard of Oz only affect Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion?
