May Rock! <BR>May Rock located on Highway 49 North is located on Private Property about two miles South of Bear Valley. <BR>Shirley Sargent in one of her books mentions that you can see the out cropping from the highway. Back in the 1970's you probably could, but now trees have grown that block the view from the highway. May Rock is the largest quartz outcropping in Mariposa County and has a very much weathered look to it as it has been subjected to the elements for thousands of years!
