Turnin' Dirt in Mariposa County! <BR>Mariposa resident Skip S. captured this image of Federal, State, Local, NPS and CalTrans officials turning dirt with 'gold shovels' as they celebrate the Essential Access Celebration in the Merced River Canyon on Friday May 9, 2008. The celebration was for the new temporary bridges that will allow 45 foot vehicles to use the 140, "The All Weather Highway" access to Yosemite National Park. Scheduled completion date is before <BR>the 4th of July.
