As you look around Mariposa their are signs everywhere thanking the people who
risk their lives protecting us from fires, natural and man made.

No the picture does not look strange, you are not at a Mystery Spot,
remember Mariposa is on a hill, that is why the sidewalk is heading uphill
but the roof appears to slope down toward the right.
