Tenaya Lake! <BR>At over 8,000 feet in elevation Tenaya Lake, named for Chief Tenaya of the Yosemite Indians, is usually around 20-25 degrees cooler than the Central Valley in the summertime. Up here one can see granite that was polished by the glaciers to a mirror like finish that today thousands of years later still exists. This is the lake that the last of Chief Tenaya's tribe was captured at and then sent to a reservation.
