Tree Lighting in Mariposa! <BR>On Saturday evening, December 20, 2008 the Lions Club held their Historic Annual Christmas Tree Festival at the Mariposa Courthouse. A huge bonfire was burning that must have felt very warm as most folks were standing around it as they sipped hot chocolate and enjoyed the free popcorn and hot dogs provided by the Lions. <BR>The tree was lit as Santa arrived on a fire engine, the children clapped and sat on his lap as they whispered to Santa all that they wanted for Christmas.
