Islands in the Clouds! <BR>During the winter months in Mariposa County the fog forms <BR>and begins to creep up in elevation depending on the weather conditions. In the photo above the residents who have houses in the higher elevations can be above this fog layer and have gorgeous sunsets. <BR>The fog in the photo is at around 2,500 feet of elevation.
