Pink Friday Rally!
In Mariposa the streets were all decked out in the color Pink for the Pink Friday Rally that took place not only in Mariposa but across California as teachers, educators, students, parents and others rallied together to protest the cutbacks that are taking place in the schools.
In the above photo the protesters are marching across
Highway 140 after having a rally in the Arts Park. They proceeded to march through the downtown area of
Mariposa and then staged themselves on the street corners
and shouted their message to the passing vehicles that honked
their horns in approval
